Lauren graduated from Dublin City University with a Bachelor of Hons in Sport Science & Health. She then went on to complete a Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland.
Lauren has always had a strong interest in sport and helping people, which is what drew her to physiotherapy. Lauren comes from a competitive swimming background herself and understands the demands of training and competing at a high level.
Lauren has over 10 years’ experience working as a physio and has gained experience in a wide variety of areas including private practice, sporting clubs, aged care and community rehab. A special interest in upper limb is what drew Lauren to work with Action Rehab.
Lauren has completed her full DMA clinical pilates training and has over 8 years’ experience utilising clinical pilates to rehabilitate her patients. Lauren believes in a whole-body approach to rehabilitation. She understands how important building core strength is to supporting the rest of the body and preventing further injuries in the long term.
Clinical pilates is beneficial for all ages and Lauren is very passionate about educating and building her patients confidence through showing them how strong they are.
In her spare time Lauren enjoys spending time with her two children and husband.
