Jessica Lewis graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational therapy. She has been working full time at a private hand therapy clinic in Perth since finishing University.
During University Jessica studied a variety of health-related fields including human anatomy and physical rehabilitation. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings such a private and public sectors, paediatrics and vocation rehabilitation.
Jessica had developed a passion for hand therapy very early on in her degree and has done placements at 2 private sectors in Perth, as well as Royal Perth hospitals plastics clinic. She believes this passion developed from her fascination with upper limb anatomy and witnessing first-hand the meaningful impact hand therapy can have on a person’s life.
Jessica is dedicated to helping people get back to doing what they love – whether that’s work, sport, or valued daily activities. With a particular interest in sports rehabilitation, she enjoys supporting athletes and active patients through their recovery and return to performance.
Jessica is passionate about staying current with the latest hand therapy research and creating personalised, evidence-based treatment plans to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Outside of work you’ll find Jessica having a coffee in the sun and in the Pilates studio. She is a proud supporter of the Fremantle Dockers and will be at every game she can get to.
Luckily for Action Rehab, Jessica has moved to Melbourne and now dedicates her time to Action Rehab supporting people to overcome their upper limb injuries.
