Ella Hope

Ella Hope graduated from King’s College London, UK with a Masters in Physiotherapy (pre-registration) after discovering her passion for rehabilitation in an elective module in her first degree, BSc (Honours) in Sports Psychology and Coaching Sciences. Ella has a wealth of physiotherapy experience in both the NHS, private, and in sporting environments. She has treated paralympic athletes, county level tennis players, and elite youth athletes and headed up the physio team at one of London’s largest amateur rugby clubs providing pitch side trauma management and post-match assessment and rehabilitation to men’s, women’s, and youth teams.

Ella’s interest in hand therapy began 5 years ago when she was given an opportunity to complete a hand therapy rotation to enhance her specialisation in upper limb physiotherapy. She is passionate about helping people regain their functional potential and has competencies in wound care, splinting, and rehabilitation. Ella is experienced in treating acute tendon, ligament, bone, and nerve injuries as well as chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, and has a keen interest in research and teaching. Ella is always looking to further her own knowledge by completing regular CPD.

Having recently relocated to Australia to be closer to her family, Ella is enjoying exploring the sights and sounds of Melbourne, particularly the outdoors and the sporting activities on offer, although she has yet to try Aussie rules! An ex-international powerlifter and divisional rugby player, Ella is a keen sportswoman and enjoys skiing, hiking, windsurfing, and Pilates. If she is not climbing a mountain or skiing down one, you will find her with her nose in a book or in the kitchen baking.
