Hamish Summers graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). During university, he learned about human anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology, which shaped his understanding of movement and rehabilitation.
His interest in the upper limb began with the shoulder due to personal experiences with its function and recovery, and over time, he developed an interest in hand therapy as he gained a deeper understanding of the hand’s complexity and its crucial role in restoring function for daily tasks and performance.
Hamish follows an evidence-based, patient-centred approach, with a strong emphasis on education and staying up to date with research.
Outside of work, you’ll find Hamish at the gym, exploring new places, watching movies, and spending time with loved ones.
He is also an avid MMA fan and speaks two languages (English & Thai).
Luckily for Action Rehab, Hamish now brings his experience and supportive attitude to each appointment, helping individuals manage and overcome their upper limb injuries with care.
