Caolan Somers

Caolan Somers graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2023 and is now proud to be a part of the team at Action Rehab.

During university, Caolan studied a variety of health-related fields including human anatomy and physiology. Having completed his qualifications, Caolan is highly motivated to provide ongoing care to his clients.

Caolan developed a passion for hand therapy during his final clinical placement at Bendigo Health where he saw a wide range of clientele and the direct impact that hand therapy can have on someone’s life.

Caolan’s passion for hand therapy is driven from his love for sport having played competitive basketball, football and tennis over the years. Caolan has had his fair share of sport related injuries in the past and therefore understands the importance of helping people return to their pre-injury level, whether that be in sport, work or anything that is important to them.

Caolan is continuously striving to improve himself as a clinician and seeks to remain holistic and up to date with the latest in hand therapy research. Caolan emphasises the importance of client centered care and develops individualised rehabilitation programs to ensure his clients receive the best quality of care and achieve their meaningful goals.

Outside of work you’ll find Caolan representing his local football club and barracking passionately for Carlton in the AFL. He also enjoys developing his own fitness, particularly in long-distance swimming, and spending time with his mates.

Caolan now dedicates his time to Action Rehab supporting people to overcome their upper limb injuries and getting them back to doing what they love and enjoy.
