Chen Zhou is driven by helping people back to their meaningful activities. Chencheng is an Occupational Therapist, with a master degree of occupational therapy at Swinburne University of Technology.
During her time at Swinburne, Chen studied a variety of health-related fields including human anatomy and nutritional sciences. She also has clinical experience working in hand therapy, community health, public hospital, and paediatric settings.
Chen developed a passion for hand therapy after seeing one of close friend return to rock climbing with the support of hand therapist following a sports injury.
During her final clinical placement in hand therapy, she further refined her knowledge in the anatomy of the upper limb and witnessed the direct and meaningful impact that hand therapy can have on a person’s life.
Chen focuses on helping patients safely return to work, sport, and other valued activities. Chen particularly enjoys staying informed about the latest developments in hand therapy research and creating personalised rehabilitation plans.
Outside of work you’ll find Chen enthusiastically barracking for her AFL team, Hawthorn and watching Australian Open. Chen also enjoys bouldering, camping, craft, and board games. Luckily for Action Rehab, Chen used to be a yoga instructor for 4 years.
Chen now dedicates her time to Action Rehab supporting people to overcome their upper limb injuries.
Bilingual, Chen can speak fluent English and Mandarin.
