Sadie Davison graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
During University Sadie studied a variety of health-related fields including human anatomy, musculoskeletal and sensory-motor sciences, including across the lifespan. She has clinical experience in the community treating developmental and degenerative disorders with both paediatric and adult caseloads. Through this she has developed clinical reasoning skills necessary for her patients to achieve their functional goals and optimise their health outcomes.
Sadie believes her passion for hand therapy initially sparked from her interest in the anatomy and biomechanics of the upper limb practiced at University. This passion further grew during her final placement with Action Rehab where she was supporting patients in reaching their goals and seeing the direct impact that hand therapy can have on someone’s life. Sadie established that this field was where she wanted to continue to work and contribute towards.
Sadie is passionate and motivated about enabling people to engage in their lives without the restriction of an injury or condition. Sadie strives to help patients return to their pre-injury level, whether that be work, sport or anything that is important to them such as gardening or crafts. Sadie particularly enjoys staying up to date with the latest in hand therapy research, engaging in her own projects and developing tailored rehabilitation programs for her patients.
Outside of work you’ll find Sadie doing hot yoga or playing a social game of volleyball. For down time Sadie heads to the beach or into nature for a hike or camp. Sadie is also getting into the AFL supporting her local Richmond Tigers.
