Marnie Jarvis

Marnie Jarvis is a Physiotherapist, treating the hand and upper limb at Action Rehab Hand Therapy in Melbourne’s North.

Marnie Jarvis graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy), before completing her Master of Physiotherapy.

During university, Marnie studied a variety of health-related fields including human anatomy, biomechanics, neuroscience and exercise rehabilitation. She also gained clinical experience across private practice, neurological rehabilitation and hospital settings, giving her a strong foundation in patient-centred care.

Marnie developed a passion for hand therapy through her own experience playing high-level football and basketball, where she sustained several hand injuries herself. Her interest in upper limb anatomy, combined with first-hand experience of rehabilitation, shaped her appreciation for the impact hand therapy can have on helping people regain function and return to the activities they enjoy.

Marnie strives to help patients return to their pre-injury level, whether that means work, sport or the everyday activities that matter most. She particularly enjoys staying up to date with the latest hand therapy research and developing tailored rehabilitation programs to support each patient’s goals.

Outside of work, you’ll find Marnie playing football in the VFLW, running, or spending time with family and friends. She is a passionate Brisbane Lions supporter and understands first-hand the commitment required to recover from sporting injuries through her own experience in high-level sport.

Marnie has also worked with the Women’s and Under-21 Australian Deaf Basketball Teams as a team osteopath, further strengthening her interest in sports rehabilitation. Marnie now dedicates her time to Action Rehab, supporting people to overcome their upper limb injuries and get back to doing what matters to them.
