Jack is a physiotherapist who graduated from the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Monash University. He has a strong interest in supporting people with hand injuries, elbow and wrist pain, post-surgical rehabilitation and splinting.
During his undergraduate degree, Jack majored in human anatomy and function, which sparked his interest in further study. His Doctor of Physiotherapy training built on this foundation, bringing together anatomy, physiology and joint biomechanics in a practical way to support people with a range of injuries and conditions.
During his studies, Jack also completed clinical placements across hospital and private practice settings, including cardiorespiratory care, ICU, outpatient musculoskeletal care and sports physiotherapy.
Jack’s interest in upper limb rehabilitation is also personal. After breaking his left arm three times and his right arm once, along with other arm and wrist injuries over the years, he became curious about how the upper limb recovers and what helps people return to using their hands and arms with confidence.
This interest was fostered further during Jack’s outpatient placement, where he worked with a range of shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries. Seeing the impact of hand therapy on patients’ ability to return to the things they love helped shape his interests and ultimately guided his career path.
Jack strives to help patients achieve their goals through collaborative, evidence-based care. He takes the time to understand what each person wants to return to, then tailors’ rehabilitation with patient input to support their recovery.
Ultimately, he wants to work with people to get them back to doing the things they love.
Outside of the clinic, Jack is a martial artist, doing Taekwondo and Iaido (samurai sword training). Otherwise, he is a pop-culture enthusiast, enjoying the latest video games, films and TV. And he has a keen interest in cosplay, were he even does charity events for children in costume as some of the most popular superheroes.
