Clara Cheng

Clara Cheng is an Australian-trained Physiotherapist, graduating from the University of South Australia before going on to complete her Master of Science in Sports Medicine and Health Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Throughout her career, Clara has built an extensive clinical background across acute hospital and community settings. She has spent the last seven years specialising in orthopaedic rehabilitation and geriatric care, including a significant period serving as a Physiotherapy Team Leader.

Clara developed a deep passion for orthopaedic rehabilitation through her work in post-surgical recovery and falls prevention. She is driven by the direct impact that functional rehabilitation has on a patient’s independence, particularly when working with the aging population to ensure they can remain safe and active in their own environments.

Clara strives to help patients return to their pre-injury level, whether that be work, sport, or the daily activities most important to them. She particularly enjoys staying up to date with the latest evidence-based clinical research to develop highly tailored rehabilitation programs that meet the specific goals of her patients.

Outside of work, you’ll find Clara fuelled by her passion for sports. She is an enthusiastic rock climber and a former member of a Hong Kong dragon boat team, having competed at an international level overseas. More recently, she has challenged herself by joining HYROX, reflecting her dedication to fitness and performance.

Luckily for Action Rehab, Clara brings this same energy and a wealth of international clinical expertise to her practice. Clara now focuses her time at Action Rehab helping people overcome their injuries and regain their mobility.
