Stephanie Christopher

Stephanie Christopher graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice.
During university Steph studied a variety of health-related fields including human anatomy and biomechanics. Anatomy is a field that fascinates Steph and she has also been an anatomy mentor. During university she also had experience working as a sports trainer for both women’s and men’s football.

She has had a variety of clinical experience during her studies in both rural and metropolitan settings. She enjoys getting to know her patients to provide a holistic approach to her management plans. She is passionate about promoting exercise and fitness to improve one’s health.

Steph developed a passion for hand therapy during her final clinical placement at Action Rehab. It is here that Steph saw how great of an impact upper limb injuries can have on a person’s ability to perform day-to-day tasks as well as participate in meaningful activities. Steph enjoys seeing patients achieve their therapy goals to improve their function to enable them to return to work, sport and hobbies. She places a strong value on educating patients to enable them to understand their presentation and what they can do to optimise their rehabilitation.

She enjoys staying up to date with the latest research on assessment and management of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand presentations. She is passionate about tailoring rehabilitation programs that are individualised to assist clients returning back to the things they enjoy most.

Steph has grown up in regional Victoria and enjoys escaping the city to get back to the country side in her free time. Steph loves all things fitness and outside of work you’ll find her at the gym, lacing up for a run or hiking.
