Alex Findlay graduated from La Trobe University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Anatomy & Physiology, and again in 2018 with a Master’s of Physiotherapy Practice.
It was during his undergrad that Alex’s passion for upper limb anatomy began, spending a whole semester dissecting a hand and forearm. The following semester he dissected a male hemi-pelvis which failed to inspire a similar level of professional enthusiasm.
Alex worked initially in a hospital rehab setting where he found his passion for patient rehabilitation and belief in the importance of high-quality patient education. Since starting at Action Rehab in 2019, Alex has been able to indulge in his passion for upper limb rehab while facilitating the return of his patients to the things they enjoy most.
Alex’s particular areas of interest are rehabilitation following surgery and/or trauma with a focus on returning his patients to an active lifestyle and their hobbies. He is a big believer in educating his patients on the importance of regular exercise and maintaining one’s fitness.
In his own free time Alex enjoys exploring new restaurants and bars, going to the gym, spending quality time with his nephew, camping with friends and exploring the world (time and finances permitting).
